Title: Porter / Sales Assistant The Best Connection Chesterfield are searching for a Porter for one on our clients based in the Rowsley area.
Our client has continued to grow since their inception in 2002 and are based in the heart of the UK with excellent access to road and rail links. They are a leading competitor in their field and have overtaken a number of competitors.
You will be required to handle a range of valuable items including large pieces of furniture and paintings as well as ceramics and glasses. You will also be assisting in the sales room where you will be dealing with clients and stock, assisting with preparing internet catalogues, displaying and photographing items and picking and packing items. There will be an occasional need to use the company van so a driving licence is essential.
Key duties: Handling valuable and sometimes fragile items. Picking and packing. Using the company van. A variety of duties in the sales room. Occasional Heavy lifting. Qualities and responsibilities: Good Computer skills. Experience in antiques and collectables is preferred. Interest or experience in photography but training will be given. Excellent work ethic. Reliable and trustworthy. Able to physically manipulate items around the site. Some travel may be required between sites. Full UK Driving licence. Work Pattern:
Week2 - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9am - 5.30 and Tuesday 9am to 7pm
Week 1 - Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30.
1 hour break - split - 2 x 15 mins and 1 30 min
Occasional weekend work may be required as and when. Usually 4 times per year on a Sunday afternoon 1pm to 5pm.
