Salary: £29,093 - £32,654
Hours: 36.25 Hours per week plus on call allowances (Incident Command Function)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid / Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, Swinton

Your role: -
You’ll be responsible for the planning and maintenance of the Flexi Duty rota for officers. This includes allocating skills, annual leave and planning training requirements whilst ensuring the daily ridership requirement of the organisation is met. You’ll be supporting the Workforce Planning Officer to ensure the organisation has a workforce that can be deployed to optimal effect, ensuring skills meet requirements, and effectively forecasting and planning for movements, leavers and new starters. You will need to liaise effectively with senior leaders and teams across the organisation to ensure delivery of the Fire Action Plan.
About you: -
You must be able to work collaboratively both within a small team and with the wider organisation to deliver the required targets. You will have good verbal and written communication skills, including report writing, presentation skills and the ability to advise and influence at a variety of levels. You will have to build strong relationships as a large proportion of the role is effective stakeholder management.
The successful candidate will have an analytical mind and excellent attention to detail to ensure all reports and output from within the team are accurate. You will be highly motivated, reliable and able to plan and manage your work effectively. You will have excellent organisational skills and ability to cope with multiple deadlines, ensuring that appropriate action is taken where necessary.
Strong evaluation and problem-solving skills with a demonstrable ability to draw conclusions from self-analysis, information and supportive data.
