Your Role
We have a part-time, permanent opportunity supporting the administration and minute taking of the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) and safeguarding meetings for the Children’s Safeguarding Unit. Our offices are based in Stockport, with the opportunity of hybrid working both in the office and from home to meet service need.
In this role you will see the vital work carried out by the professionals we support to keep the people of Stockport safe. Is it a very interesting area of work and Business Support have a vital part to play in this, which keeps all our team motivated to make a difference.

About You
You will be a confident and experienced minute taker who can take accurate and high-quality minutes, using a laptop, of safeguarding meetings. This is a demanding and challenging role, and you will need emotional resilience as often you will be listening to distressing and upsetting information.
Working on your own and as part of a very supportive team, you will use your initiative to ensure key work is completed to meet statutory timescales. Part of your role will be to organise LADO or Child Protection meetings, and enter and retrieve confidential and sensitive information on case management systems.

You will work as part of the Business Support Hub working with front line services and will therefore need the ability to build effective working relationships, work using your own initiative, be proactive and flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.
