Location: One for Stamford and one for Peterborough
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time (22.2 - 37 hours per week)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Morgan Hunt is proud to be working with a college in the Peterborough area to recruit a passionate and dedicated Lecturer in GCSE English.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic English and Maths team committed to delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of levels from Entry Level (KS1) to Level 2 GCSE equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in English
- Design learning resources including schemes of work, lesson plans, and ILPs
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify learner needs
- Support vocational staff in embedding English across subject areas
- Deliver inclusive and differentiated learning to meet a variety of student needs
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
- Work collaboratively within a supportive departmental team
Essential Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or Level 5 Diploma) or willingness to work towards one
- Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching English up to GCSE level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A learner-centred approach with a proven track record of inspiring student achievement
- Flexibility and the ability to work across campuses and within different programme areas
