An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced radiographers or health professionals wishing to train in the specialist area of Obstetric Ultrasound. Successful applicants will be highly motivated, hardworking and able to commit to an intense but very rewarding training course.
The Rosie Ultrasound Department is offering a 12 month Secondment / Fixed Term contract to undertake the training and academic study required to be awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound (Obstetrics).
We are an enthusiastic team with an excellent track record in sonographer training. We undertake a wide range of examinations in our department and you will be supported by our team of friendly Sonographers to acquire the practical skills required to complete the course. It is anticipated that the Trainee will join the team after qualification, if a post is available.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A TRAINING POST AND NOT OPEN TO QUALFIED SONOGRAPHERS
To undertake practical training in obstetric ultrasound.
To attend all taught modules provided by the chosen University and successfully gain a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Medical Ultrasound.
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing a high-quality diagnostic ultrasound service whilst maintaining high standards of patient care.
To ensure that practice is carried out in accordance with department policies and protocols.
Develop the theoretical and practical knowledge/skills required to perform the range of ultrasound examinations in the clinical area of training.
To undertake all ultrasound procedures delegated by the sonographers/clinical leads as part of training and development.
