Plant Scheduler - Leigh, UK

Full-time - 37.5 hrs per week working Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with various departments to align production plans with inventory levels and customer demand.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet changing priorities.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimise work-flow.
  • Prepare reports on production performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure the availability of materials required for production.
  • Assist in the development of capacity planning and forecasting strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in production scheduling or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is an advantage.
