TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a qualified Social Science Teacher to work in secondary schools across Kent from September 2025. We are working closely with schools in the area who are seeking outstanding teachers to deliver engaging lessons in subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, and Health & Social Care across Key Stages 4 and 5.
We welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to start their teaching journey.
Role Responsibilities:-
Plan and deliver creative, challenging lessons in one or more Social Science subjects

Teach across KS4 and KS5, supporting students' academic development and exam preparation

Promote critical thinking and discussion through dynamic classroom interaction

Use a range of assessment methods to monitor and support student progress

Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Contribute to departmental planning and extra-curricular activities
Requirements:-
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience or specialism in Social Science subjects

Excellent subject knowledge in at least one of the following: Sociology, Psychology, Health & Social Care

Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse learning needs

Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills

A passion for education and a commitment to student success
