Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - Wandsworth
We are working with a large, well-resourced secondary school in Wandsworth to appoint a committed and proactive Learning Support Assistant from September 2025.
The school is inclusive, forward-thinking, and has a strong SEN department that works closely with class teachers to support pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs across KS3 and KS4
* Help students stay focused and engaged in mainstream lessons across various subjects
* Support the implementation of EHCPs and assist in tracking student progress
* Use visual aids, scaffolding and positive behaviour strategies to support learning
* Work closely with SENCo, teachers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with secondary-age students in a school or youth setting
* A calm, patient and adaptable approach to support
* Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset
* Understanding of SEND and classroom inclusion strategies
* A genuine interest in supporting young people to reach their potential

* Accessible via Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Town and Earlsfield stations

* On-site staff parking may be available
