Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, and speech or emotional difficulties


  • Assist class teachers in adapting lessons and resources to suit individual learning styles


  • Help pupils build key skills in confidence, communication, and independence


  • Support positive behaviour management and contribute to a calm, inclusive classroom atmosphere


  • Track and report pupil progress to the SENCo and teaching staff


    Who We’re Looking For

    We’re looking for a caring, proactive graduate who meets the following criteria:

    • A recent university graduate (Class of 2025) with a 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education, or a related field


    • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in schools, care settings, or through volunteering)


    • A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to meeting individual student needs


    • A clear interest in pursuing a long-term career in education, child psychology, or SEN support
