Background
Admissions, including student visa compliance sits within the newly formed Student and Academic Services Directorate as part of the new Academic Registry and is responsible for delivering a high-quality service to enquirers, applicants, and other key stakeholders.
The team are responsible for:
Operating fair, transparent and responsive admissions and selection policies to deliver an excellent applicant experience.
Managing admissions processes to achieve student number recruitment targets
Providing professional leadership and advice on all admissions activities including to external partners that have delegated responsibility in these areas.

The Role
As an Admissions Officer you will joining join an outstanding team responsible for managing a portfolio of applications from across our undergraduate, postgraduate or partnership provision. The post holder will provide a professional admissions service, involving the receipt, scrutiny and processing of all applications relating to the assigned University audience, and assessing them in relation to agreed criteria and timescales.
The Person
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate outstanding customer service skills and can contribute to the wider team whilst working independently. You may already hold experience from an administrative background working as part of a team in an office environment. A high level of attention to detail and ability to identify priorities whilst managing a varied workload against competing deadlines are vital for this role. Likewise, you will have excellent communication skills, and empathy to engage with people, including those where English may not be their first language.
The postholder will be expected to quickly acquire and utilise knowledge of university and sector procedures, structures and regulatory frameworks.
