Axis has experienced continual growth since its establishment in 1986, we’re not aiming to be the biggest service provider, however we intend to be the best. We work with some of the UK’s largest building owners, landlords & facility managers to provide strategic building repairs, planned maintenance and improvement across all property sectors.
Becoming an apprentice at Axis Europe is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and training. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, whilst learning on the job. You will be expected to attend school/college once a week as part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you could be offered a permanent position. The apprenticeship is for a period of 2 years and at the end you will obtain a Business Administration level 3 Apprenticeship qualification.

Responsibilities:

Working on site alongside the fully qualified and experienced Midlands Commercial team to ensure the Division is profitable and meets the expectation of its Senior Managers. This apprentice will take an active role in the Commercial (financial) Processes on contracts to ensure clients expectations are met in terms of profitability and cashflow.

You will be expected to attended college once a week as part of your apprenticeship.

Support process subcontractor applications for payment on the system, ensuring appropriate level of approval has been agreed.
Support to code, review and check work orders posted for invoicing for accuracy, profitability and compliance on each contract within your remit in accordance with contract terms.
Work closely with the operational team to identify Commercial risk and ensure all parties are kept informed.
Maintain relationships with clients, supply chain and colleagues.

Skills:

Educated to GCSE standard (English and Maths grade 4 or above) or equivalent.
Ability to communicate messages clearly and accurately on the telephone and in person.
comfortable with dealing with numbers and spreadsheets
Experience of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines and targets.
Problem solver with good initiative.
