A leading provider of support services for individuals with learning disabilities committed to empowering people to lead fulfilling lives is seeking a compassionate and proactive Support Worker to join their vibrant team in Warrington.

In this varied, learner-focused role, you will support adults with learning disabilities across creative, therapeutic, and practical activities from arts and crafts to wellbeing sessions, gardening, retail, and independent living skills. Working closely with learners, staff, and volunteers, you'll help build confidence, life skills, and a strong sense of purpose through meaningful daily engagement.

As a Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

* Provide compassionate, respectful support to learners with diverse and complex needs, fostering autonomy and confidence.
* Deliver and assist with engaging sessions tailored to individual learning plans (ILPs) across areas like arts, wellbeing, woodwork, horticulture, retail, and life skills.
* Create meaningful, learner-led experiences that prioritise dignity, development, and enjoyment.
* Promote safeguarding, respond calmly to behaviour challenges, and model positive boundaries.
* Maintain accurate digital and written records on learner progress, participation, and wellbeing.
* Conduct dynamic risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
* Support learners in exploring personal goals, including volunteering, enterprise, and employment opportunities.
* Collaborate with staff and volunteers to uphold high standards of care, inclusivity, and professional conduct.

The Support Worker will have the following skills and attributes:

* Prior experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or complex needs is essential.
* Personal or professional experience in at least one of the following areas: arts and crafts, gardening, retail, coffee shop.
* Minimum qualification requirement is a Care Certification or a willing to do this upon starting in post.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster an inclusive, respectful, and learner-centred environment.
* Comfortable and respectful in delivering personal care when required.

You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Appointment will be subject to DBS clearance, right to work checks and satisfactory references.
