We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cyber Service Manager to join the Home Office Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC). This pivotal role involves leading the end-to-end onboarding of multiple Home Office systems into scalable, centralised cyber security services, while managing the delivery of these services across a range of business areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuously evaluating and enhancing operational processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for optimisation, and implementing effective solutions. You will be part of a dedicated team of cyber professionals committed to defending against cyber threats across a complex network of systems. The Lead CSOC Cyber Service Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the delivery of cyber security services provided by the centralised Home Office Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC). This includes onboarding new and existing IT systems into a range of SOC services, managing the onboarding pipeline, and ensuring services are delivered in line with agreed service level agreements. The role also involves continuous service improvement, ensuring systems are fully integrated and stakeholder requirements are met throughout the onboarding process.
Your day-today responsibilities will be to:
- Manage the onboarding pipeline across CSOC services, ensuring timely delivery across all active projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including; technical, delivery, commercial, finance, and senior stakeholders, to support seamless onboarding.
- Act as the central point of contact for onboarding-related risks and issues, resolving challenges as they arise.
- Scope and prioritise projects effectively, coordinating tooling and service requirements.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and ensure consistent communication, guided by senior leadership priorities.
- Develop and implement onboarding processes and best practices to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
- Monitor service performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead a team of technical security engineers, ensuring quality assurance and successful integration of systems into CSOC services.
Due to the requirements of the role, the successful candidates will be required to work full-time (37 hours per week).
Hybrid Working
DDaT is geographically spread across multiple locations with most staff working in line with the Department’s hybrid working arrangements (a minimum of 60% of time in an office location, with the remainder working from home). The successful candidate will be based at Manchester Soapworks and there may be a requirement for occasional travel to other locations.
