Crynodeb
Clinical Duties: Conduct chronic disease management clinics, including diabetes, asthma, COPD, and hypertension. Perform cervical cytology (smear tests) and provide sexual health advice. Administer vaccinations and immunisations, including childhood and travel vaccines. Provide wound care, including dressings and suture removal. Conduct health checks and screenings. Manage minor illnesses and injuries, providing treatment and advice. Assist with minor surgical procedures and perform ECGs. Health Promotion: Provide lifestyle advice, including smoking cessation, weight management, and dietary advice. Conduct health education sessions and workshops for patients. Support patients in managing their long-term conditions through education and self-care advice Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the practice's clinical system. Participate in clinical audits and contribute to the practice's QOF targets. Assist in the development and implementation of practice policies and protocols. Liaise with other healthcare professionals and agencies as required. Professional Development: Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills. Attend practice meetings and contribute to the development of practice services. Undertake mandatory training and keep up-to-date with relevant guidelines and best practices
