Working collaboratively with consultant microbiologists, to ensure best use of anti-infective medicines according to UHB policies under a national and local strategic framework. To develop approaches to reduce variation, waste and harm associated with the use of anti-infective medicines. Collaborate with directorate pharmacists and prescribing advisors to promote consistent best practice in antimicrobial stewardship across primary and secondary care. Analysing antimicrobial prescribing data and advising on the development of appropriate treatment protocols and care pathways.
