Crynodeb
Provide clinical support and guidance within the nursing care team. Mentor your team to upskill and support them. Support your team with competency based monitoring and training around the Care Certificate. Provide strong leadership in the clinical environment using the core skills of facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, teaching and delegation. Ensure adequate staffing at all times. Manage the ordering and administration of medication for all residents. Monitor staff performance and conduct. Conduct annual appraisals with all direct reports. Ensure safe systems of work are in line with St Vincent's Nursing Home requirements. Represent the Home on Health & Safety matters. Participate in and lead organisational clinical and nursing audit programmes. Support Governance in the investigation of incidents, accidents and complaints. Induct new staff and organise training. Work closely with the other Nurse Managers on a rotational basis. Keep accurate records of day-to-day practice. Adhere to the requirements of confidentiality in relation to residents and staff by referring to the Safeguarding and GDPR policies St Vincent's Nursing Home and CQC. To ensure personal compliance with St Vincent's Nursing Home Policies and Procedures including Health & Safety and Security Regulations. To maintain desired standards of behaviour, dress and general appearance. Complete mandatory training relevant to your role.
