Crynodeb
Responsible for the management of the Compliance and Assurance (Health,Safety and Risk) Team functions of the Clinical Governance & Risk Department. Responsible for continuing development and implementation of the Trusts approach to health, safety and risk management, ensuring that appropriate systems and processes are established as an integral component of effective corporate governance. To provide professional health and safety support to ensure that the Trust complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and its associated statutory instruments. The post holder will lead or contribute to a range of managerial and professional issues, supporting the Head of Risk, Compliance and Assurance, Deputy Director of Quality & Safety, Director of Quality and Safety and the Medical Director. The post holder will undertake the role of competent person as required by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations. Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
