Our Public Sector Client is currently seeking a temporary Ongoing Finance Assistant based in Newry

Hours of work Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

Rate of pay £12.21 per hour

Duties:

The following gives an indication of the main duties and responsibilities of the post. These may change over time. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly and carry out any work that is reasonably required and appropriate to the grade.

  1. Deal professionally with telephone/face to face enquiries from staff within the Trust, those outside the Trust and members of the public, in accordance with laid down protocols.

  1. Provide clerical support for the department to which they are allocated including the use of a range of technology, photocopying and faxing.

  1. Open mail and direct correspondence for the attention of appropriate members of staff.

  1. Organise and provide clerical support within their allocated environment. This may be within corporate support functions, or client / patient facing areas.

  1. Carry out reception duties, as required.

  1. Take responsibility for requisitioning and maintaining a supply of stationery as required.

  1. Undertake any other ad hoc administrative and clerical duties, as may be required from time to time.

  1. In some roles you may be required to word process a range of documents such as letters, memos, minutes etc. You may also be required to undertake audio transcription.

Essential Criteria:

  • 4 GCSEs Grades A-C including English & Maths or equivalent and 1 years relevant experience*

Or

  • 2 years administrative experience
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel or Equivalent
