A leading and compassionate specialist care and rehabilitation service is seeking a Head of Nursing (RGN qualified) to lead and inspire its large nursing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned clinical leader with a strong background in complex care, neurorehabilitation, and brain injury services to make a meaningful impact in a forward-thinking and supportive setting.
Our client provides specialist care to adults with acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, and complex rehabilitation needs, focusing on personalised recovery pathways and high standards of clinical excellence.
The Head of Nursing will take a strategic and operational leadership role across the nursing and clinical teams, ensuring excellent standards of care, compliance with clinical governance, and continued service development.
What We're looking for
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration
- Proven experience in a senior clinical role such as Ward Manager, Deputy Manager, or Service Manager
- Demonstrated leadership within a large nursing or multidisciplinary team
- Strong background in managing care for adults with neurological conditions, brain injuries, or complex rehabilitation needs
- In-depth understanding of clinical governance and its application in specialist services
- Ideally holds a Management in Practice (MIP) qualification or equivalent leadership training
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and team-building skills

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop a large, multidisciplinary nursing team
- Oversee the delivery of safe, person-centred, and effective care for individuals with complex health and rehabilitation needs
- Promote a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and professional growth
- Ensure the service maintains full compliance with regulatory and governance standards
- Take an active role in audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
- Work closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic goals and improve patient outcomes
