Based at the Guildhall, Gainsborough
Our Building Control service is going from strength to strength, and we are now looking to recruit a permanent Building Control Surveyor to join the team. This is an exciting time to be involved in Building Control, our current projects include Gainsborough Town Centre regeneration with a new cinema, prestigious housing developments, multi-storey apartments and every kind of domestic extension and alteration you could think of.
We are looking for a positive, commercially focused, forward-thinking surveyor with excellent ICT skills to become a part of our busy Building Control team. The successful candidate will undertake Building Control duties including plan checking, site inspections, enforcement, dangerous structures, and other building surveying duties when necessary. Consideration will be given to candidates who are part qualified, completed their academic studies or have experience in a Building Control/construction environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn are required, along with knowledge and understanding of construction, the Building Act, Building Regulations, and associated legislation. The successful candidate may be required to participate in the out of hours dangerous structure call out rota system.
