Crynodeb
Depending on the interests of the applicant, additional clinical experience can be offered with compensatory rest and renumeration to be discussed and agreed with appointee: Attend and participate in regional and national MDTs for range of tumour sites and/or specialist haematology areas. Assess and manage in-patients under care of oncology/haematology team in and out of hours. Assess and manage outpatients/day care patients under care of oncology/haematology team in hours. Perform lumbar punctures, administer IT therapy and perform bone marrow aspirates and trephines as part of the theatre rota. Participate in oncology and/or haematology clinics, including solid tumour, CNS tumour, after-cure, post-BMT, general haematology and specialist haematology clinics Share in the day-to-day supervision of more junior medical staff in the department including peer-led and departmental teaching and education sessions.
