Your new role
My client are currently seeking a Freelance Site Manager to oversee two small reroofing schemes in Manchester. These are well-organised, short-duration projects requiring a proactive and reliable manager who can take full ownership of site activities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has a strong grasp of roofing and refurbishment works, and can confidently manage trades, logistics, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily site operations across two roofing schemes
- Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and site logistics
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental standards
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reports
- Conduct quality checks and ensure works meet specification
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and the team
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrable experience managing roofing or refurbishment projects
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification
- First Aid at Work
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple trades
- Own transport and mobile device for site reporting
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
