Job Details

If you have an eye for attention to detail and enjoy general cleaning, you could be perfect for this career. Why not join one of our many teams of mobile cleaners in Schools and council buildings within the St Andrews area.

We currently have two temporary vacancies Monday to Friday on a 40-week contract.

Cleaner

Madras College - 20 hours per week 40-week contract (10:00am to 2:00pm)
Canongate Primary School – 12 hours per week 40 weeks per year (3:00pm start)
Both post are temporary until 3rd July 2026

You will earn a competitive salary of £23,783.40 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.67 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
Pay is annualised for 40-week contracts (equal instalments every 4 week pay period)

This work is about ensuring pupils and staff can return to a clean and safe environment every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference. No previous experience is required as on the job training is given, working towards The Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate

The Person

You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
