Reimagine the possibilities
Your role and responsibilities
You will:
- promote the embedding of all elements of the Suffolk Inclusion Toolkit within our education providers in Suffolk, with a specific focus on supporting schools to embed VSEND (Valued SEND) within their provision
- work closely with the Project Manager (SEND) to develop useful resources and digital support tools to help schools on their journey
- deliver bespoke support to schools on their VSEND journey, supporting the embedding of all elements of the Suffolk Inclusion Toolkit, developing resources and being part of gaining impact to inform the future offer.
You will need:
- a passion for inclusion, and experience or understanding of the current priorities and challenges experienced by colleagues in educational settings.
- VSEND is a digital platform, and you’ll bring excitement to build your technical skills, and to develop insights into VSEND’s potential.
- excellent interpersonal skills. The successful embedding of the whole Suffolk Inclusion Toolkit within schools is based upon forming positive and supportive relationships with our school leaders
- to be well organised, as day to day you’ll be working with a large number of different schools, so the ability to prioritise your diary and good administrative skills are essential.
You can view a full list of requirements in the Job and Person Profile (Word). If you believe you can succeed in this role, apply. Even if you don't meet all requirements, still apply. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application. Applications are welcomed from diverse backgrounds to bring fresh perspectives.
The team
Whilst your work will predominantly be alongside the Project Manager (SEND), you’ll be welcomed into a much wider team, working within the Psychology and Therapeutic Service and alongside our Specialist Education Services.
We are incredibly passionate about promoting inclusion and supporting schools with the tools to be able to maintain this ethos. The role will provide extensive opportunities to learn more about and connect with the wider services of Suffolk County Council.

We want to represent the diverse communities we serve. We welcome applications from all individuals, especially those from groups that are currently underrepresented in the organisation, as shown in our Workforce Equality Report (suffolk.gov.uk).
