Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Runcorn

Salary: Competitive

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.15, 37.5 hour per week

We are currently seeking a Credit Controller to liaise with our customers within a given region. The role will involve overseeing payment collections, as well as ongoing adherence to the relevant policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making sure that customers adhere to the terms of credit
  • Identify problem accounts
  • To follow processes as outlined by team leader
  • To preserve goodwill with customers showing dignity and empathy as required
  • To deal with high volume ledger
  • Liaise with other departments by both email and telephone to ensure prompt resolution of queries
  • To ensure that cash is allocated correctly and in a timely manner
  • Reconcile transactions and balances to maintain accurate accounts
  • To attend ad hoc meeting both internal and external where deemed necessary
  • To achieve section targets as outlined by team leader
  • To complete internal core and advanced skill modules
  • To complete Ad Hoc Reports as requested by team leader
  • Create and distribute Ad Hoc Customer reports as required
  • To be instrumental in achieving section targets
  • To report any areas of concern to team leader

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience within credit control
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Have proven track record in reducing DSO
  • Good Microsoft office skills
  • Experience of dealing with high volume accounts
