Your Role

We are looking for a motivated and flexible team member, to contribute, towards improving the quality of the Leigh-Ellenbrook Guided Busway and the busway environment, for all users. As Mobile Busway Assistant you’ll be responsible for keeping the Leigh-Ellenbrook Guided Busway and its local environment clean and well maintained. You’ll provide a high visibility presence to all users throughout operational hours. The role includes cleaning duties, minor maintenance and customer service. As well as reporting any environmental, infrastructure or health and safety issues through the correct reporting process. This is an active and outdoor based role.


Who are we?

TfGM Busway Team is a small team which forms part of the wider Facilities Management Department who’s role is to look after and manage TfGM infrastructure such as Bus Stations, Office Buildings and Bus stops. The Busway team maintain the Leigh Guided Busway which is a 7.5km long area from Leigh to Newearth Road (Salford) that provides Bus Priority, Active travel and leisure routes for customers.

You’ll have experience of working in an environment where you come into contact with the general public, to be able to communicate effectively and have a positive approach to assisting others to deliver high standards of customer service. The bus team provides a highly visible, reassuring presence to our customers at all times during operational hours. You will have a good knowledge of the Health and Safety regulations and hold a current full driving licence as you will be provided with a work vehicle during working hours.

What we can offer you

This permanent role involves shift work as part of a team and for this we offer a salary of £26,744- £28,956 per annum depending on experience plus 15% shift allowance on top of the salary.

Normal working times are Monday Friday between 07:00 and 20:00 on a two-week rota. Occasionally there will also be the opportunity for additional overtime for during weekends and Bank Holidays.
