Due to company expansion, an opening to join a well, established company, within their manufacturing department based in Corby, Northamptonshire as a Mixing Operative has arisen. We are looking for a Mixing Operative who has previous experience in material mixing from a manufacturing background.
Duties:
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets
- Weigh and load raw materials according to specification sheets
- Monitor blending and extrusion conditions, making basic adjustments to ensure consistency and product quality
- Conduct basic quality checks and record batch data accurately
- Clean down machinery and equipment between runs to prevent cross-contamination
- Work closely with the production team to minimise downtime
- Follow all site safety, hygiene, and operational procedures always
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment or plastics experience would be advantageous
- Comfortable handling materials and working with lifting
- Able to follow instructions and work to specification sheets
- Basic numeracy skills to work with weights, measurements, and ratios
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality
- Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Counterbalance Forklift licence essential
We would expect the successful Mixing Operative to hold a current in date valid Counterbalance FLT license which is essential. be an excellent communicator and a real team player who enjoys being part of a busy team. You will be supported one to one to become familiar with the company processes and procedures. This would be an ideal role for you if you have previously worked in a manufacturing background.
You will be joining a worldwide company. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role offers variety daily. The organisation is renowned for the delivery outstanding quality products & services and they are keen to recruit a Mixing Operative who strives to offer the same.
