Acorns Children's Hospice are looking for a Children's Palliative Clinical Lead to join the team in our Three Counties Hospice, Worcester. The Clinical Lead manage a multi-disciplinary team, develop programmes of care and provide nursing care to children and young people with a range of complex health needs, life limiting or life-threatening conditions. About the Role Acorns provides care for babies, children and young people, who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, both in our hospices and in their homes. Our nurses are part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team delivering care packages that are tailored to each childs individual holistic needs and were structured so that youll simply have the time to care As Children's Palliative Clinical Lead, you will: Manage and be responsible for the supervision and development of a large multi-disciplinary team consisting of all grades of nursing staff, students and support workers Manage and co-ordinate the clinical area, participating in direct patient care and supervision of staff. Demonstrate expertise in symptom management and end of life care including after death care, to support staff to develop skills Participate in the development and implementation of new initiatives and contribute to the advancement of clinical practice within the hospice To promote communication with the children and young people, encouraging them to express their wishes and concerns to their best ability (this may include non-verbal, electronic or alternative communication methods) About You Registered Nurse Non-medical prescriber (or willing to undertake) Leadership experience Experience of palliative care Care and Assessment of the acutely unwell child What We Offer £46,000 to £52,000 per annum 37.5 hours per week Based in Three Counties Hospice, Worcester (WR5 3EZ) Employee discounts from leading retailers Employee gym discount scheme Bike-to-Work scheme Generous contribution to group personal pension plan or continuation of current NHS pension scheme NHS pension scheme life assurance or Acorns group life assurance scheme Interviews are scheduled to be held on 26 August You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
