- Contract: 6 months - covering the rest of this calendar year
- Start Date: ASAP - ideally within the next fortnight
- Day Rate: Equivalent to a permanent salary of £80,000-£100,000 (weekly timesheets)
About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Finance Director to support a well-established business in Bristol through a key period of change. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a commercially astute finance professional who thrives in dynamic environments. You will work closely with the outgoing Finance Director to ensure a smooth and effective handover, providing stability and continuity across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a capable finance team (4 direct reports + wider team)
- Oversee management accounts, variance analysis, and financial approvals
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and software providers
- Troubleshoot and resolve finance-related issues as they arise
- Maintain operational stability and confidence during the transition period
About You
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (FD or equivalent)
- Strong technical and commercial finance background
- Comfortable working fully on-site in a fast-paced environment
- Able to start within the next one-two weeks
- Experience with Acex Financials and/or Isaac ERP is desirable but not essential.
The Team & ToolsYou'll be joining a well-structured finance function, including credit control, purchase ledger, management accounts, and IT. The business operates with Acex Financials and a bespoke ERP system (Isaac).
