Repton Security Ltd are seeking a full-time Operations Manager to ensure consistent smooth and effective management of day to-day security operations.

£35K per year + company car*

The successful candidate would need to ensure quality of service and company protocols are maintained to the highest standard, to embody the company values and to act as a role model to Operations staff. Experience of working in a security and supervisory role is essential. Must be an SIA and driving licence holder.

Role Duties:

• To oversee the day-to-day management of the Security Supervisors and Officers on duty
• Ensure that the quality of service provided consistently meets the Company’s standards and requirements
• To create and manage the monthly rota efficiently to ensure all site and shifts are covered, including short notice changes
• Maintain excellent working relationships with the clients, effectively representing RSL
• Proactively solve problems and situations, whilst seeking assistance from and keeping the Directors appropriately informed
• Act as a role model for Operations staff in maintaining professional conduct and standards, including presentation and a positive attitude to work and problem resolution
• Assist with the recruitment, induction, training and continuous professional development of Operations staff
• Manage incidents and staff issues at a first line management level, escalating and seeking advice from the Operations Director as appropriate.
• Oversee the effective day-to-day management of the RSL vehicle fleet ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy, well equipped and well presented at all times
• Some operational duties form a core part of the role - company phone included
• Some office attendance to DE65 5FN is required, personal transport is essential.
• The use of company vehicles is subject to status*

Skills required:

• Have excellent people management skills
• Demonstrates a methodical approach to work planning and is well organised
• Must be a strong self-starter, demonstrates good problem-solving skills and appropriate use of own initiative
• Can report issues and seek advice effectively and appropriately
• Have a good level of numeracy and literacy to enable comprehension and compliance
• Have good IT skills and can effectively use Microsoft Outlook, mobile phone and Control Room technology, basic use of Word and Excel.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the importance of Health & Safety compliance
• Hold a current certificate in First Aid at Work – training can be provided if not currently held
• Hold a current SIA licence
• Demonstrates good attention to detail and a willingness to ‘Go the extra mile’ to achieve RSL’s mission statement and embody the company values
