Ultra Welding Equipment Ltd, Formed in 1993 by current Managing Director, David Bates, with extensive experience of the welding and fabrication industry after starting out as an apprentice engineer, we provide a unique range of high quality welding equipment, products and services, with first class service. Our extensive and meticulously engineered inventory features welders, welding automation and positioning equipment, welding-related apparatus, electric power generators, plasma cutting equipment, and laser welding equipment to name a few areas. Overview
Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on welding systems and products distributed by the Company. The position will perform work at the branch facility and at customer sites as required. We are professional, collaborative, data-driven and we are looking for a skilled and dependable Service Engineer to join our team. The right candidate will be able to carry out repairs and service equipment within a workshop / onsite environment.
Responsibilities
• Diagnose, repair, test and calibrate machines for rent or sale per daily schedule.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks on power generation equipment / Electrical equipment
• From a company computer, create documents / orders with details of diagnosis, repairs and parts required for each machine.
• Assemble electric, diesel and Automation equipment / accessories for rental and transfer shipments.
• Operate a forklift, Crane or other necessary material handling equipment to perform shop duties.
• Required to service equipment / customers off-site as needed. Assist with parts and equipment inventories as needed.
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
• Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in work area.
• Must be organised and have great communication skills.
Experience
• Ideally the candidate will have experience within the industry in a similar role, however we are happy to consider new-comers to the position.
Requirements
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to work overtime/weekends.
• Must have a Full UK driving license.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to work well with others.
• Good critical thinking skills.
• Highly organised.
