Crynodeb
The post holder will be responsible for the management of supportive care services to support the development and delivery of Information, Care & Support Services including: Audit and evaluation of current services to ensure they are meeting clients needs. Concentrating specifically on the demographics of the client population. Make links with community groups to ensure services are appropriate for the users including diverse groups e.g. age, disability, ethnicity. Responsible for the initiation, management and implementation of fundraising opportunities for the service, within Trust guidelines. Responsible for the supportive care services provided through the service, ensuring all therapists are registered with the appropriate professional body, insured and in possession of an up-to-date honorary contract with LTHT. Responsible for identifying opportunities for expansion of services to include all areas of Cancer services within the Trust and leading the implementation of those. Responsible for the services provided through the centre ensuring room allocation, therapist and diary co-ordination. Signposting patients to other agencies. Recruiting and managing volunteers for the service. Lead on development projects. Following assessment of clients needs provide individualised information and support to clients verbally, written or by phone, in a format that is appropriate to their needs. Be responsible for the co ordination, delivery and smooth running of support sessions provided by the Information Care & Support Service. Managing the administration team and volunteers Be able to manage own workload without supervision. Act autonomously within the policies of the Trust.
