About Four Corners
We are a small family run business currently in the process of registering our
first therapeutically informed Children’s Home with Ofsted.
We have a beautiful four-bedroom house in the village of Stubbington,
Hampshire ready to welcome young people later in the year. We are now
looking for an amazing and inspiring team to join us in this exciting new
adventure.
With more than 30 combined years of experience in residential care and
children’s homes within the management team and a directorial team with lived
experience we are committed to shaping positive change in young peoples lives
and providing the team with a rewarding and meaningful role.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibility for the planning and day to day running of the home,
coordinating the staff and ensuring completion of tasks.
Providing supervision, coaching and mentorship to the team.
Building trusting relationships with young people and colleagues.
Promoting, modelling and supporting young people to make healthy
lifestyle choices.
Engaging in key work responsibilities for designated young people within
the home, ensuring that their wishes & feelings are always considered.
Working alongside other health and social care professionals to facilitate
high quality and purposeful care and support.
Recognising the long-lasting impact of traumatic events child
development and working with the consequential challenging
behaviours.
Arranging and engaging young people in a variety of activities,
adventures and opportunities to play and develop life skills.
Ensure the safety and well-being of young people by adhering to
safeguarding protocols and reporting any concerns promptly.
Supporting and encouraging young people to achieve the highest
possible level of academic and vocational qualifications and skills.
Completing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of daily
activities, incidents, and observations in line with organisational policies
and procedures.
An ongoing commitment to personal development and adopting a
growth mindset.
Working Pattern
The role is offered on full time (37.5 hours pw) permanent basis, working on a
rolling rota, 2 days on 4 days off pattern. Days start at 07:30 and finish at 23:00.
Team meetings take place on the first and third week of each month from
10:00-13:00. Training and other commitments will fall outside of this pattern
occasionally; we will ensure that you are always given appropriate notice of
these and your normal working pattern may be adjusted.
A requirement of the role is to sleep at the home so that the young people can
be supported overnight.
Experience
We would welcome applications from those with previous experience in
residential homes with young people or leadership positions from other social
care settings.

Qualifications
Essential
Full UK Manual Driver’s License.
Ability to provide full employment history & enhanced DBS certificate.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent.
Pay & Benefits
£30,000 - £35,000. Plus, an additional payment for sleeping in paid at £50 a
night. There is a minimum of 40 sleep in nights a year distributed evenly
throughout and divided between the teams fairly.
