Summary
Ward 25 is a mixed speciality Ward, Colorectal Surgery and Gastro Medicine. We are a diverse team, who believe putting patients first.
We have an exciting future planned with our Modular Ward Transformation - We will be moving into a new unit where we will have specific areas designated for the appropriate patient need. We will incorporate our clinical Nurse Specialists into the areas. We currently work closely with our specialist nurses, who offer the Ward support, teaching and have an excellent patient rapport.
As we are expanding our bed base we may be in a position to transmit the fixed term contracts to permanent contracts.
We promote development and actively encourage staff to share their knowledge within the teams. We encourage staff to rotate between our teams to maintain their skill set in the two specialities.
Patients benefit from the support and guidance the staff offer and there is a high quality of care delivered to the patients. We have developed our End of Life Care with in-depth teaching, and guidance from the End of Life Team, and this has been beneficial to our patients on the pathway but also for their loved ones involved in that pathway.
