Are you an experienced HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Fitter looking for a better work-life balance? Join a busy and well-established commercial vehicle workshop in Tipton, working just four nights a week with no weekend shifts. You'll work on a modern fleet of trucks and trailers in a professional, well-equipped environment where your skills are valued and rewarded.
What you’ll do as an HGV Technician
Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers
Diagnose and fix faults using diagnostic equipment including WABCO, Haldex, and Knorr-Bremse
Complete all repair work to DVSA and manufacturer standards
Keep service records and job cards accurate and up to date
Work closely with the parts department to ensure the right components are used
Maintain a clean, safe and compliant workshop environment
What we’re looking for
Essential
Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Truck Fitter
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
Desirable
Class 1 or Class 2 HGV driving licence
IRTEC certification
Experience with trailers, EBS systems, and tail lift repairs
Background in dealership or fleet maintenance
