We're looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our learning disability service in Wythenshawe, providing person-centred support to service users with learning disabilities, including those with autism.
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll provide respectful personal care, emotional, and practical support to service users, collaborate with service users, families, and the multidisciplinary team to maximize outcomes, implement Creative Support principles, policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure the service meets CQC requirements, supervise and support staff to meet service user needs and preferences, and support service users in achieving a full, happy, safe and well-rounded life.
You will form part of the team, fulfilling leadership qualities and abilities in a senior role. You will have some allocated responsibilities additional to the main service delivery of support with individuals. You will work well with delegation and be confident to organise and allocate areas of work for yourself and team members. You will be directly line managed by the Support Coordinator and Service Manager.
The service is situated in Wythenshawe and provides support to people with learning disabilities. Wythenshawe is connected with good transport links and a range of local amenities close to the service. Bus services and metro links are within a few minutes waking distance.
Experience of providing support to individuals with learning disabilities is essential. We value a desire and commitment to work alongside young people, promoting positive change in their lives and helping them to achieve their aspirations.
