We are a thriving nursery set in a beautiful in the heart of Borehamwood. Each day we strive to provide the best care and learning experiences for every child in a safe, creative and welcoming environment. Millies wish to foster the child’s love of learning in a creative, safe and fun environment to ensure every child reaches their own potential. Millies will ensure that a young child’s first nursery experience is a positive one and we encourage development at a child’s own individual pace.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality care and education to young children. If you have a passion for early childhood education and enjoy working with children, we would love to hear from you.

We are open 48 weeks per year with closures in December for the Christmas period, April and the last two weeks of August.

The right candidate would work 40 hours across 4 days 7:30-6pm, having 1 day off a week.

Responsibilities:

Engage with children in various educational and play activities - Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and develop - Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate learning - Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues - Provide leadership and guidance to support the development of children - Manage daily routines and ensure the well-being of all children in your care.

Requirements:

Proficient in English, both spoken and written

Qualifications:

Must be qualified Level 2 or Level 3

Desirable :

Experience working with young children in a nursery setting - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff - A proactive approach with the drive to create a positive learning environment
