Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust considers the Clinical Nurse Specialist role as a keystone to the optimal care of our patients and to the success of our Trust. This clinical nurse specialist role therefore has the authority required to deliver the responsibilities and accountabilities outlined in this job description.
The post holder will work collaboratively, as a core member of the head and neck team, with key groups of staff at both Winchester and Southampton Hospital and community and primary care settings as appropriate.
The main duties of a Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist is to work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team and others within oral and maxillofacial, surgical, oncology, skin and palliative care in the planning and delivery of treatment plans for patients to optimise health outcomes.
