Care at Home (Wearside) Ltd is looking for compassionate and reliable individuals to join our dedicated team as Home Care Assistants. This is a rewarding entry-level role where you’ll support people in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.
What You’ll Do:
Provide respectful and professional personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.)
Assist with mobility and use of personal equipment
Support individuals who are unwell or receiving end-of-life care
Encourage mental and physical wellbeing through conversation, hobbies, and outings
Help with everyday tasks such as cleaning, changing beds, doing laundry, and preparing meals
Read and write simple reports, attend team meetings and training
Follow care plans and report any significant changes in a service user’s condition
Handle service users’ finances and assist with medication (training provided)
Work in line with company policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For:
No experience necessary – full training will be provided
A caring, respectful, and patient nature
Good communication skills
Reliability and a willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
