Supplier Technical Manager
£40,000 - £44,000
Worcestershire
A superb opportunity to develop your technical skills in a supplier facing role.
A few decades ago, in a beautiful part of the country, an individual decided to start their own business making healthy nourishing food. In the middle of the lush landscape and fertile soil, he tapped into the growers that surrounded him – some way ahead of the conversation we are having on food miles. Fast-forward to today and the business continues to go from strength to strength. Join this business and you can too.
A good example of this is the career development people in the technical team have had, and the additional investment that has gone into the technical team.
The supplier base has grown significantly with the business needs and as the product range has expanded so has the supplier network, with raw materials sourced from the UK, Europe and SE Asia. This is where your focus will lie, maintaining and developing processes for technical approval, covering fresh produce, ingredients and packaging, including new supplier approval and raw materials and critically, not just covering the paperwork aspect but building solid relationships with them.
Your experience will come from working in a food manufacturing environment, preferably supplier facing where you been involved in external auditing. You understand UK retailers’ codes of practice and quality standards with awareness around food safety risks and allergens.
There will be some travel involved to audit suppliers, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.
Please note, you must be eligible to work in the UK without requiring company sponsorship.
