Apprentice Nursery Practitioner – Level 2/3 Qualification Pathway – Greenwich, London
Are you passionate about working with children and starting a career in early years childcare? More2Riverside is offering a fantastic apprenticeship opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our Ofsted Outstanding nursery as an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner. This is the perfect chance to kickstart your career in a supportive and rewarding environment, with full training provided for either Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications in Early Years Education.
Salary: £8 per hour for 12 months
Location: Greenwich, London – just a short walk from Maze Hill Station (SE10 0FZ) and accessible by bus from North Greenwich Underground.
Who We're Looking For:
• Individuals who are eager to learn and work towards a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare.
• While this apprenticeship is ideal for 16-19-year-olds, we also welcome applicants of all ages, especially parents whose children are now at secondary school and are interested in returning to work.
• No prior experience is necessary—just a passion for working with children and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:
• After a period of initial training to act as a key worker, providing care for a small group of children.
• Help with planning daily activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and provide suitable play and learning opportunities.
• Write up learning journeys for your key children and contribute to room planning.
• Ensure children develop in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Share information about children’s progress with their parents or carers.
• Assist with all duties related to your key group and the daily nursery routine.
Essential Criteria:
• A genuine desire to work with children and begin a career in early years education.
• Must be able to commute to Greenwich (within one hour).
• The right to work in the UK (we are unable to sponsor visa applications).
• You will be required to complete the food hygiene certificate and 12-hour paediatric first aid course (if not already completed).
Working Hours:
• Full-time, 4 days a week (7:30 AM to 6:00 PM), with one day off for rest. Or 32 hours per week if you are aged 16 or 17
