We are looking for a radiographer / sonographer to join our Ultrasound team. This is a full-time position, Monday to Sunday working 37.5 - 40 hours a week. You will be working across the UK, Over various sites covering nationwide so expenses and travel can be claimed. We require you to work at our clinics with a health care assistant to scan patients for pre booked appointments.
Responsibilities Include:
• To undertake a wide range of work in the Ultrasound Department (Abdominal, KUB, Gynaecological, testes, MSK and small parts) as appropriate to grade, including the supervision and mentoring of more junior staff
• To independently undertake general ultrasound sessions, providing comprehensive and accurate computerised reports on all examinations.
• To undertake a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, maintaining high professional standards of technical competence.
• To ensure a high-quality patient focussed professional service is always delivered.
• To assess and adapt techniques for each examination to meet the individual needs of the patient.
• To analyse the clinical information and determine the most appropriate scanning method and technique
• Positively identify all patients with 3-point check prior to the examination
• Select the correct equipment, including ultrasound transducers and technique and perform the appropriate ultrasound examination to provide the diagnostic information required.
• Ensure all urgent findings are communicated appropriately and the patient directed accordingly
