Vocational Instructor (Demolition)

Join CITB as a Vocational Instructor – Demolition and inspire the next generation of demolition professionals

Location: National Construction College East, Bircham Newton, Norfolk (this is a site based role and doesn't allow you to work from home)

Hours of Work: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Contract: Permanent

Salary Range: £40,500 - £49,500 per annum

Target Salary: £46,350 per annum

About the Role:

Are you an experienced demolition operative with a passion for passing on your skills? CITB is looking for a dedicated Vocational Instructor to join our team at the National Construction College East in Bircham Newton – the UK’s leading training facility for the construction industry.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Vocational Instructor, you’ll deliver high-quality training to learners at various stages of their demolition careers. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future workforce by:

Delivering engaging theory and practical training sessions to apprentice and commercial learners
Supporting learners through assessments and qualifications
Maintaining industry standards and ensuring a safe learning environment
Contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:

Extensive, hands-on experience in the demolition sector, with a solid understanding of techniques, equipment (including mechanical and hand tools), risk assessments, and safe working practices
Minimum of Level 3 (or equivalent) vocational qualification directly related to the role
Minimum of Level 3 teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing role)
Specialist licence to practice qualifications relevant to the role
A passion for teaching and mentoring others
Strong communication and organisational skills
Hold a relevant CCDO card
Assessor Awards (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing)
