Summary
Personal Assistant required for a 16-year-old boy who lives in the Bodmin area.
He has ADHD and anxiety and would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.
He would like someone to support him with his communication and social skills out in the community. He is passionate about playing the guitar, mechanics, cars and engineering; he is excited about learning more about engineering at college in September.
A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy activities in the community, independently. He would like a PA to be available to drive him to Saltash once a week, where he can continue with his guitar lessons.
Good rate of pay at £12.60 per hour, plus mileage allowance.
5 hours per week are available.
A car driver with business class insurance is essential for this role.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
