Sunderland City Council are going through a positive period of development and transformation, whilst the city itself is undergoing large scale regeneration and development.andnbsp; Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following post within the Economy andamp; Place Directorate.

The Network, Parking and Road Safety team requires a suitably qualified Group Engineer to provide leadership to the Road Safety, Traffic Project and Network teams.
andnbsp;
Applicants must be self-motivated and have a flexible approach to working arrangements and will have suitable experience and operational knowledge.

The main areas of responsibilities of the post include:andnbsp;
-To provide design and contract/project management.andnbsp;
-To provide motivation and leadership to facilitate the effective delivery of projects within the Transportation and Infrastructure service.andnbsp;
-Manage and oversee the highway networkandnbsp;
