Your role will involve assessment, planning, and intervention, ensuring that a child-centered approach is maintained at all times. You will act as a lead practitioner, overseeing complex cases and supervising less experienced social workers, while promoting best practices and high standards of care. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as building relationships with families, schools, and other agencies is essential for effective outcomes. You will also engage in training and development opportunities and will be expected to maintain compliance with relevant legislation and policies. This is a fulfilling opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families, ensuring they receive the support they need and deserve.

Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of children with disabilities and their families, providing ongoing support and assessments.
Conduct detailed assessments to identify the needs and strengths of children and families.

Provide guidance and supervision to junior social workers and support staff within the team.
Liaise with relevant agencies, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for children.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case documentation and records in line with policy requirements.
Requirements
A recognized qualification in social work and current registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
Significant experience working in social work, particularly with children and families, and knowledge of relevant legislation.
Demonstrated experience working with children who have disabilities and their families.
Strong assessment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and to take the lead on complex cases.
Commitment to professional development and ongoing training in social work practices.
