Teamforce Labour Limited is a leading supplier of skilled personnel to the Construction, Rail, Civil Engineering, and Utilities sectors across the UK. We are now seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Payroll Officer to support the accurate and timely consolidation of operative timesheets and preparation of payroll data for submission to third-party payroll providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collate, validate, and consolidate weekly timesheets from multiple labour sites and operatives.
- Verify shift details, job roles, and pay rates against project-specific rate cards to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and format payroll spreadsheets for submission to external payroll firms.
- Liaise with consultants and site staff to resolve timesheet discrepancies before deadlines.
- Maintain internal payroll logs and reports, ensuring complete accuracy and audit readiness.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR) when handling personal pay data.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in payroll administration, ideally within the labour supply or construction sector.
- Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data cleaning).
- Understanding of PAYE, CIS, and umbrella payroll models.
- Experience working with or alongside third-party payroll processors.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work to tight weekly payroll deadlines under pressure.
Desirable:
- AAT or CIPP qualification (or working towards).
- Knowledge of construction labour compliance and documentation.
- Familiarity with HMRC payroll requirements and timesheet systems.
