Job Description: COVER SUPERVISOR Responsible to: Resources Manager Salary: Grade 5 (SCP 7-9) - £25,584-£26,409 pro rata
(Actual gross salary approx. £16,392-£16,921 per annum)
Temporary in first instance to 31st August 2026The governors of this successful school wish to appoint a Cover Supervisor to commence as soon as possible. This will be a temporary appointment in the first instance with a possibility of permanency. The role of the Cover Supervisor is to cover the short-term absence of members of teaching staff. You will be responsible for delivering the work left for you in the teachers absence and provide a high quality learning experience for pupils in the class. The successful applicant should have proven behaviour management skills and experience of working in a classroom environment. This role would be suited to anybody considering a career in teaching. Closing date: 4pm, Friday 1st August 2025Interviews will take place during the week beginning 11th August 2025Within Swansea Council there is a "Safeguarding is Everybody's Business" principle, and this applies to all Swansea Council employees, elected members, volunteers and contractors.
