Connect Appointments are recruiting reliable and motivated individuals to become Machine Operators with one of Arbroath's best-known production companies.

What's on offer? Full-time temporary position; working a rotational shift pattern of early and days - paid weekly at £12.21 per hour.

  • Week One: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm - with an early Friday finish
  • Week Two: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 6pm - with an early Friday finish

Working as a Machine Operator you will be responsible for:

  • Operating a wide range of production machinery
  • Inspecting finished items ensuring they are of the highest quality
  • Cleaning production machinery
  • Informing Supervisors of faulty machinery or production issues
  • Monitoring the production line ensuring a smooth flow of production
  • Inspecting finished items ensuring they are of the highest quality
  • Storing goods and raw materials in the warehouse
  • Adhering to relevant H&S regulations when operating machinery and handling products
  • Keeping work areas and the production floor clean and free from hazards
  • Adhering to operational procedures and production timelines

To be successful as a Machine Operator you will have previous machine operating experience, ideally in a production, manufacturing or similar environment. Combined with a good level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity; the ability to work on your own and as part of a team; and great attention to detail. The successful candidate must also be able to pass a colour-blind test.

Please Note - Due to the clients site, if you stay outwith Arbroath it is advantageous to have access to your own transport.
