Job Title: Speech and Language Therapy Assistant
Location: Regional Role, London
Salary: £23,000 to £27,000 DOE
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Overview:
We are keen to hear from enthusiastic, creative, and motivated Speech and Language Therapy Assistants, ideally with some experience. This role is supported with regular supervision and training, and you are supported with clear paths to progress your career.
Band: Band 4 salary band reflects the level of responsibility, expertise, and experience required for the role.
Contract: Permanent, 50-week contract – Other contract options can be discussed at interview
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9am - 5.30pm

What are we looking for?
Speech and Language Therapy Assistants taking on this role will be responsible for providing intervention under the guidance of a registered Speech and Language Therapist. They will also provide feedback on client progress as well as attend meetings and advocate for clients and families alongside the treating therapist. Further, the assistant will participate in indirect actions of speech and language therapy, such as creating programmes or assisting with scheduling.

Supervisor support is also provided along with our wellbeing team to provide mental health and wellbeing support within your working week if needed.

Essential requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant area
GCSEs or equivalent
Experience of working with children
Effective communication professional skills
Desirable
Previous experience of working within health care
Previous experience working with children with additional needs
People management experience
